An operational mixed-use complex in Doha's West Bay district required a post-occupancy condition survey and wind comfort analysis in advance of a proposed rooftop extension. We carried out a full reality capture programme across the building, producing an accurate as-existing model of the structure, envelope, and visible MEP distribution.
Wind comfort CFD analysis was conducted across five extension massing options to assess pedestrian-level wind comfort at ground and podium levels. The preferred massing was selected based on the simulation results, with the extension designed to avoid adverse wind effects on the existing terrace and public realm.
